If things hadn't gone the way they did, people might've thought your injuries were proof of guilt.

That's not exactly an amazing thing to have to deal with.

There were other evidences to consider . . . but I knew they would incriminate me.

We can't jump to conclusions like that. It doesn't do anyone any good.

It's just as important to rule out suspects.

Yes, but not recklessly and latching onto someone just because we have no other options.

Defending someone with little to no proof is just as concerning.

I'd be more worried that people would just settle for the easiest option and not be thorough.

Isn't that the easiest option?

[Claiming someone couldn't have done something, because it isn't in their nature . . . Now, that's easy.]

However, I agree on the importance of attention to detail.

Easier would be latching on the first thing suggested and not looking into it. Which could let someone who killed go free.

But this kind of thing is never clear cut and easy.

Still, it must be done.

Preferably by catching someone who... y'know. Is guilty. ... Even if the circumstances are bad.

No. I guess that means whatever it took was small enough it'd pass me by.

I know a piece of me is missing, but I don't know what. That doesn't really reassure me in any way.

It'll only be harder from here. Our memories are no longer our own . . . All that's left to do is brace for the impact.

That sounds a lot like just rolling over and accepting it.

Memory loss is inevitable. What matters is our actions in-between.

I’m aware of that. But it’d be nice if we can figure out how to balance it —- reduce the loss without need to kill someone in the process.

Maybe the amount of nova we collect...?

Have you discussed with the Leaders on ways to maximize collection?

That would be a good idea. I wonder which of them is the best one to talk to about it...

My leader, maybe?

Yours would be the most convenient. The others require gifts before they'll grant an audience.

Oh, those are simple enough. You can just bring them cake and they'll show up.

It doesn't have to be anything fancy for it to count.
