[By now they're probably familiar with what's happening for the week. When their paths cross on the road in town, Rufus is more than ready to pass Alex by—nothing personal, as ever—only to pause once she's within arm's reach.

He unabashedly watches her, making his stare no secret. Troublesome impulses, really.]

What is it?

Week 0: Saturday

[About an hour after everything, Rufus emerges from the kitchen into the lobby with his hands in his pockets. His expression is blank as he walks toward the entrance, ignoring Alex's presence.]

[chanteuser]

[ if she grabs his arm is he gonna charge?

...

it's still physical affection week, so she's gonna do it anyway, but more like a pat than a grab. ]

WEEK 1, tuesday

[chanteuser]

[ spaaaaaaaaaacccceeeeeeeee.

alex is in the control bridge, curled up in one of the chairs there. she's turned it so that she's facing one of the large windows looking out over all that... well... nothing, speckled with stars.

she seems pretty absorbed in just watching the worlds literally go by. in very slow motion, but still. ]

[soulus]

[The void has nothing to give him. Rufus' gaze falls on Alex as soon as he enters the Control Bridge, watching quietly for a moment.]

Why is it the right choice?

Week 1: Saturday

[soulus]

[It's on his way back to the inn after some time out that he comes across Alex.]

Are you recovered?

[chanteuser]

Emotionally or physically?

[ hello to you too ]

WEEK 2 - monday

[chanteuser]

[ what is up grumpy pirate wolf man, alex is exploring the new area and for the sake of this pc i am assuming so is rufus. ]

Enjoying the new location?

[soulus]

[Rufus is absolutely exploring the new area when he comes across the rabbit lady.]

What do you suppose happened here?

[The stench of piracy is overpowering.]

week 2, post execution

[chanteuser]

[ throws dart

they can be near the pub, hopefully rufus doesn't have pub trauma or a hangover still. alex looks a little out of it when she's walking past, but slows down to acknowledge rufus as she walks past. ]

Hello.

[soulus]

[If he had location trauma, he wouldn't be able to go anywhere. As it is, he stops to greet her as well.]

Yes?

Week 3: Monday

[soulus]

[Later in the day, he's leaned against the large tree in front of the bridge with his eyes closed, listening for passersby. At the sound of footfalls, he opens his eyes.]

Who is it?

[chanteuser]

[ ... ? ]

...

[ there's a moment of confusion, and then it dawns on her: ]

Oh! You can't see?

-- oh right, it's Alex.

week 3, saturday post trial

[chanteuser]

[ welcome to the railway station, rufus. alex is just sat here on one of the benches, looking... very tired. her eyes might be a little red too? wild. ]

[soulus]

[The turnstile lets out a series of familiar clicks as it gives to Rufus. He enters with even, slowing steps. Ignoring the only other person here is hard, so he turns to Alex not long after.]

There are better places to sleep.

week 4, monday

[chanteuser]

[ alex has passed the gun shop a couple of times and avoided going inside, for a few reasons. but eventually, she'll stop as she's passing by and actually open the door to go in. ]

Might as well see what they're letting us have... oh.

[ apparently she's not alone? ]

[soulus]

[Rufus is here, looking at a wall of firearms when Alex enters. He cranes his neck in her direction.]

Are you here to buy a gun?

week 5, friday

[chanteuser]

[ alex is just sat in the gardens. there's a flower in her hands that she's literally just plucked from the garden and she looks very! tired! actually! and upset, but mostly tired. ]

[soulus]

[Rufus is on his way out when he comes upon Alex. Flowers dot his hair and clothes. He looks down at the flower in her hands.]

Is there a meaning?

week 5, sunday

[chanteuser]

[ what up rufus, she's here to bring you the delights of conversation and friendship -- ]

Rufus, can you confirm that your team's done two kills?

[ oh. ]

[soulus]

[He, meanwhile, is here to bring her the delights of chaos with computer parts strewn all over the floor. Beside him sits an open book about computers for dummies. Seated on the floor, Rufus looks up at Alex.]

I can confirm that we've cleared the requirement.

week 6, saturday post trial

[chanteuser]

[ she's sticking her head in the railway station, seeing as this seems to be where rufus ends up a lot of the time. henlo? ]

[soulus]

[Standing on the other side of the turnstiles, Rufus looks over his shoulder.]

week 7, friday

[chanteuser]

[ choo choo, wufus. here's alex, apparently looking out to see where he is given how she's purposely come to the train station. ]

[soulus]

[He's seated on a bench to enjoy the solitude when it's broken by Alex's entrance. He lifts his head to watch her.]
